An Inconvenient Truth: it takes an art department…
February 19th, 2007If you haven’t seen Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth then I highly recommend getting it – if only to look at how he uses Powerpoint slides and AV material in general.
He’s done the presentation so many times that it has been honed to a peak of perfection: he uses minimal slides, his slides are not just the dreaded bullet points and words, they are graphs and pictures…
but best of all the slides are only used in his presentation to back up the story he is telling live in front of us, not as something to hide behind.
Of course the inconvenient truth is that to come up with the sophisticated and clear AV material he uses takes time and money.
But definitely have a look at how he does it – the lessons are there anyone whose job it is to present technical material to an audience.
